據日本《共同社》報導，日本首相安倍晉三與中國國家主席習近平於當地時間11月30日在出席巴黎聯合國氣候峰會的休息時刻站立短暫交談4分鐘，習近平表示正確處理敏感問題對兩國關係至關重要。這是繼11月15日在土耳其出席二十國集團（G20）峰會後，兩人再次接觸。
中國、日本因釣魚台主權問題及參拜靖國神社問題長期不睦，去年11月間才關係解凍，利用北京主辦亞太經合會（APEC）的機會，兩人在北京會晤，但時間僅只25分鐘，且習近平在會見時表情僵硬。
報導稱，習近平、安倍兩人進行了大約4分鐘的簡短交談，安倍談及先前與中國國務院總理李克強在韓國首爾會談「很好地交換了意見」，並提及兩國經濟團體、人員交流現狀。
習近平強調兩國擁有共同的利益，繼續深化良好氣氛至關重要。他還提出希望正確處理敏感問題並重視雙邊關係，並稱現在已能看到兩國關係正在改變跡象。
據了解，是日本首相安倍晉三利用會議休息時，主動向習近平打招呼。評論認為，習近平所稱「正確處理敏感問題」，除了中日歷史問題外，還可能與安倍晉三近期批評中國在南海填海造陸問題相關。
這是習近平、安倍自今年4月間印尼萬隆會議以來，時隔7個月再次就具體議題進行交談，兩人11月間在土耳其的接觸，僅只打招呼，並未交談。
在結束巴黎氣候峰會開幕式之後，習近平昨轉往非洲辛巴威訪問，隨後並將轉往南非主持中非合作論壇。
